Looks like the problem has existed for a while now, I just didn't notice. The Fedora 37 version zenity-3.44.1-1.fc37.x86_64 does not exhibit this fault.
Not a regression compared to previous F39 builds then, but would be good to get it fixed regardless. Can you file an issue upstream, please? https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/zenity

Not certain if this is a new regression but for me under Xfce "zenity --password" produces this error to stderr:
(zenity:10863): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 14:28:50.078: gtk_entry_get_buffer: assertion 'GTK_IS_ENTRY (entry)' failed
"zenity --password 2>>/dev/null" gets around the problem.
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

I was unable to create a login on GNOME's gitlab. The error message was:
"Email is not allowed for sign-up. Please use your regular email address. Check with your administrator."
Well that was my regular email, same one I use here.
Huh, I have no idea, sorry :( Maybe ask in https://matrix.to/#/#infrastructure:gnome.org ?
no regressions noted
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
This update has been obsoleted by zenity-4.0.0-1.fc39.
