Generally works, however "fwupdmgr get-devices" does not work for me. There is no output and no cursor, so I have to kill it to get back to the shell. The other tests in the Test Case are fine. FYI "fwupdmgr get-devices" worked fine with 1.9.7-1
I checked this version and the previous version with the -v switch and the debug output looks the same too me.
I need one of you to either open a Fedora bug or comment on the upstream issue -- I can't really continue to debug in this bohdi update. I need the output of "sudo strace fwupdtool --plugins synaptics_mst --plugins kinetic_dp --plugins linux_display get-devices -vv" where the copr build is installed.

This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
F39 on Lenovo t14s - fwupd.service won't start -> timeout
previous 1.9.7 - works fine
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
Same issue as g6avk -
fwupdmgr get-devices
hangs, and has to be killed.Out of interest -- are you both using daisy-chained DP monitors?
No display port monitor attached in my case. I can re-test without docking station and other things attached if you want.
Lenovo Thunderbolt 4 dock by any chance?
"sudo fwupdmgr get-devices" also hangs for me, and I have neither daisy-chained monitors nor is this desktop tower connected to a dock ;)
Motherboard is an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING, if that matters.
Sorry, I should have said Slimbook Titan, with no dock / external monitor.
Can you add your "sudo strace fwupdtool --plugins synaptics_mst -vv get-devices" output to https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/issues/6379 please
I have a similar sort of setup as @decathorpe, Tower and single monitor, ASUS PRIME B450M-A II
Can everybody please test the build here please: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/rhughes/fwupd/
@rhughes - installed from the copr repository and ran twice - unfortunately the problem persists.
I just updated from your COPR and the problem is still there.

Added my log to the upstream issue
fwupdmgr get-devices working fine here

Anyone with problems, can you please test https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/rhughes/fwupd/ -- I'm going to release that as 1.9.9 on Monday if there are no reported problems.
The new build works fine now on this box, passes all my tests. Thanks!
1.9.9 works fine. Thank you.
