I’m glad that this fixed the FTBFS, but I’d like to note that this broke a python-opentelemetry-contrib subpackage, which was not yet compatible with httpx 0.24.x. There is now an upstream fix that I can backport, so I can fix the FTI bug on my end, but in the future it would be helpful to check if any dependent packages upper-bound the version, and perhaps do test builds of dependent packages in COPR, before conducting potentially-incompatible updates in stable releases.
