I guess, for the install tests to pass, a simple rerun should do, with NetworkManager 1.46.2now released and available in the Fedora 40 package repository.
For the Unicode failure in the rpminspect test, I have no clue:
A forbidden code point, 0x202B, was found in the NetworkManager-openvpn-1.12.0/appdata/network-manager-openvpn.metainfo.xml source file on line 126 at column 21. This source file is used by NetworkManager-openvpn.spec.
Especially, as the originating file appdata/network-manager-openvpn.metainfo.xml.in doesn't even have 126 lines and hasn't been touched for two years. So I guess some parsing over here leads to this error, but I don't understand enough of the infrastructure here, yet. But with a bit of luck, this is also something that is a side-effect of NetworkManager 1.46.2 not being available earlier, and might go away with a simple rerun?
Also, just for context: I'm really looking forward to the VPN via TOTP token bug fix in this release, which is why I am using this as an opportunity to dig into Fedora packaging a bit...
