This is working for me.
Update works but it doesn't fix the problem because initramfs isn't being rebuilt.
it requires a manual dracut --force after updating the package. could this be solved by %post -p scriplet?
As noted above, this requires an extra step to resolve the password display issue.
It would be awkward to add a scriptlet to do that. I'd prefer not to. We update the kernel fairly often anyway, which does an initrd rebuild, and you can always do one manually if you want it fixed now.
Can you please reverse the karma? This is clearly better than before, you should only file negative karma on an update that makes things worse. Preventing a not-100% fix from going out isn't helping anyone who is at 0%.
Happy this resolves the bug

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
working fine here

Works (i.e. no failures).
@adamwill is there a place where we can recommend things to people? While I absolutely agree that this update should not run dracut due to how frequently kernels are updated, the rescue kernel may still be affected, specially on clean installs. So we should recommend users to rebuild their rescue kernels after this update. I know it's pretty utopic on my part :)
The place to recommend something could be #CommonIssues, where the issue and workaround can be explained on ask.f.po.

no issues with the boot splash and a graphical disk unlock prompt
