By far, the vast majority of the applications I tried worked as expected. Most of the programs I hadn't tried before also worked, and it was fun exploring what was available.
There were a handful of programs that presented issues. I'm not sure if these were issues before, because I either didn't use these applications before or I didn't have them installed, but I did some brief exploring through some of the packages I didn't recognize:
minuet: I managed to launch a music quiz on chords, but any time you try to select an answer the program doesn't do anything. All you can do is re-play the chord or give up.
some programs like kolourpaint and kolf had graphical artifacts, especially where rectangles and selection boxes were involved.
kamoso crashes when you click the 'open drawer' button.
The following programs crashed on startup. Again, this might have been the case before, but I didn't know because I never used or installed most of these programs. I allowed the system to submit automated crash reports.
marble
falkon
konqueror
angelfish (abruptly exits, but does not generate a crash report)
Not working here. Black screen on sddm. Switched to GDM and then coredump on plasma. Had to switch to GNOME. I tried to backout the update but there seem to be quite a few dependency issues preventing this. Will open a bug.
Here is an example of the hornets nest I unravel with trying to backout:
Problem: conflicting requests

You can try to add to command line:
--skip-broken to skip uninstallable packages
Found problem was related to openjph which installed as part of the dnf5 update. I've updated the bug ticket and reported upstream to openjph. Changing Karma to thumbs-up.
