3a9626c816db901def438dc2513622e281186d39 was included in kernel-6.7.5-200 but accidentally dropped from this build because of miscommunication where that part of the amdgpu suspend fix was not applied to stable. This will result in suspend crashes while our 6.7.5 did not crash.

I was wrong. The amdgpu suspend fix 3a9626c816db901def438dc2513622e281186d39 is included.

VRR on RDNA3 (7800 XT) under KDE Plasma Wayland is still bugged and can lead to part of the screen flickering white and, worse, crashes in 6.7.6. Works fine in 6.6.14. See also this: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/3149

Seems to work fine on bare-metal HP Z440, AMD RX570 with UEFI. Kernel regression tests both PASS, Bug 2252130 still present but OpenCL compute now working albeit with trace errors.

Lenovo Legion AMD 7840HS + 780M hybrid graphics w/ nvidia 4060

Upgraded to this kernel release as part of usual silverblue ostree update process from previously working 6.7.5-200.fc39, however the machine becomes unbootable with 6.7.6. It will freeze at random parts of the boot process. Disabling graphical boot and watching for errors doesn't yield anything useful that I can see to assist with debugging. Rolling back to 6.7.5 works for now. Please let me know if there is any further information i can provide somewhere to assist with debug process?

Same issue as guru1423 dell 5680 i7 1300h and ada2000 except i use fedora 39 workstatiom and i have disc encryption so when i type in the pass if i am slow it will freeze there if i am fast it will pass the encryption check and go to blank screen.

Seeing the same issue as guru1423 and dexysu on a Lenovo P1 Gen 6 with i9-13900H and 2000 Ada on f39 workstation. I confirmed that the previous version (6.7.5-200.fc39) and the next one is still broken (6.7.7-200.fc39).

Sorry, the previous comment was meant to say "that the previous version worked"!

For the record, I just filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2268464 for the new startup hangs, so this doesn't get lost on this bodhi update. The good news is that at least the rawhide kernel appears to work.

User Icon jackyzy823 commented & provided feedback a year ago

Randomly hanging/stucking when resuming from sleep state (S3 enabled in UEFI) in MECHREVO Code01 2022. This also happens on 6.7.4 and might happen on previous versions (from Jan 2024) too.

Revert to kernel 6.5.6, all seems fine.

CPU&GPU AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics Wireless NIC: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7921K (RZ608) Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma

kernel flag: processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 drm.vblankoffdelay=0 amdgpu.vm_update_mode=3

with amd-disable-c6 systemd service runs after resuming.
