As I already wrote in the bug report, you will not be able to reproduce the issue if you do not have subfolders in your bookmark menu. That does not mean the issue does not exist. Nor that it will not hit users out of the box without them having made any configuration changes, if they have upgraded from an old version of Fedora that created those subfolders by default.
I also have to wonder why this .0 feature release of KDE Gear is being pushed to the Fedora n-2 release (that will be reaching its end of life in less than a month) to begin with.

Bare metal. Falkon 25.04 is running fine so far.

Ok since this report is for F40 specifically. Adding that so far for F40 KDE Falkon 25.04 is running fine.

Ok added a new folder to the Bookmarks Bar.
Created a subfolder within the new folder.
Falkon crashed on startup.
This breaks calamares due to kpmcore soname bump.
