thunderbird-146.0.1-2.fc43

FEDORA-2025-35fc92cfa9 created by adamwill a month ago for Fedora 43

This update provides a new release of Thunderbird which should solve the crash on startup that affected some users with the previous version. ...really, this time. I hope.

How to install

Updates may require up to 24 hours to propagate to mirrors. If the following command doesn't work, please retry later:

sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2025-35fc92cfa9

Unfortunately, the issue of BZ#2423824 remains with 146.0.1-1.fc43.x86_64:

py0xc3@fedora:~$ thunderbird
Segmentation fault (core dumped) thunderbird

More details in the bug report. I downgrade back to 145

BZ#2423824 Thunderbird always crashes with Segmentation Fault immediately after starting since update to thunderbird-146.0-1.fc43

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to fix the bug. The same thing happens when I open certain windows, such as sending an email or the "about thunderbird" panel.

Works fine for me.

Also, please don't submit negative overall karma for updates just because they don't fix a preexisting issue (i.e. not introduced by this update).

Yeah, that makes sense. Sorry, I’m not very familiar with how things work around here. I’ll keep that in mind.

In this case it was kinda fine since literally the only point of this update is to try and fix the crash that affected the last one.

Anyway, the new build should really fix it now, I hope.
