BBC website shows grey stripes and grey background - they should be white as indeed they are on 136.0.1 (Fedora) and 136.0.2 (Windows). https://www.bbc.com/ is the page that shows about 5 grey stripes. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9wpek7p0kno (for example) shows the whole background grey.
Note too that 137.0b8 on Fedora (current beta installed from the Firefox site) does not show these artefacts.
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
@fx136: Are you seeing the same artifacts? I'm not seeing them in the corresponding F41 update FEDORA-2025-f3e353ce04 , though the default setting for browser.display.use_system_colors has changed from false to true there as well.
Weird I'm not having any issues at all in Fedora 40 with this update.
BBC website is as expected, both the top level and /news/world, and the specific link mentioned has a white background for me. Everything else is working as well. Running Xfce with Adwaita-dark theme, all running in a VirtualBox guest. To be clear my "system color" is dark mode.
Screenshot of the above link also has a white background. Multimedia working as well.
Tried this on a second Fedora machine - exactly the same symptoms.
137.0b8 on Fedora (current beta installed from the Mozilla site) has default browser.display.use_system_colors false. If I change that to true, I get the same symptoms again.
Why is the default for the Fedora Firefox rpm different from the default for the beta for linux from the Mozilla site itself?
