black screen with mouse pointer visible/movable under Fedora 41 Workstation/Cinnamon X11 DE after login on Asus Duo laptop (multiple models) and HP Spectre Foldable
@leigh123linux I have several laptops with the exactly the same Cinnamon config (applets, desklets, no extensions) and on all my Asus Duos (UX8406, UX8402, UX581 and UX481) and from some reason also on HP Spectre Foldable 17 I had to downgrade mesa-vulcan-drivers package in order to be able to log in to Cinnamon. All those laptops have nonstandard display config (2x display, rotation etc), maybe the reason? Other laptop, with common one display config, are working fine with mesa-vulkan-drivers-0:24.3.2-2 package installed.
@leigh123linux note: mesa-vulcan-drivers package is a member of group of other 18 mesa packages and all those packages were downgraded so I'm not saying mesa-vulcan-drivers is THE package causing the problem, it can be any mesa package in the group. I'm just happy my latops are working again :-), I didn't try to diagnose the problem any futher...
@leigh123linux you can ignore my report with peace in mind, Im ok with it, I don't want to bother anyone. It's just for case someone else will meet the some problem and he will not feel alone then after he find my report ;-)
@leigh123linux update: the reason why my cinnamon session didn't work with Mesa mesa-24.3+ was a forgotten option LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1 buried in ~/.bash_profile. After removal everything works as expected. Related question: Is this option (LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE) still relevant in mesa-24.3+?

@vonalim Are you sure it isn't the cinnamon-6.4 update, maybe you have a bad third-party applet or something.

@vonalim Which cinnamon session type are you using, 'cinnamon (software rendering)' is currently broken on some hardware.
@leigh123linux I'm using standard Cinnamon X11 session type (not sw rendering, nor wayland experimental)

This update breaks vmwgfx on both VMWare and Virtual Box. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2333711.
