Seems to chrash when dragging icons from the dock or in the overview. But not entirely sure if it is related to this mutter release / whether there is an upstream issue. Will test further tomorrow. Can someone confirm this issue?
found a reproducer: start a fullscreen application that draws a software cursor. Press Overview and notice that the cursor becomes invisble. closing the fullscreen application the cursor is visible but becomes invisible while inside overview, inside looking glass or hovering the top bar. clicking the top bar resolves the issue until it happens again.

Found an upstream issue after looking at the error: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3936 Updating gnome-shell (probably the rc release? Didn't check) should resolve the issue.

there is a regular freezing issue where the display output freezes until you switch tty back and forth. this has been confirmed on #gnome-shell
Unpushing this update to include it in a mega update for fedora 42

Caused recurring freezes when it was still pushed, rolling back to beta stopped the freezes.
