I have a dependency issue with libperl when updating perf.
Problem: cannot install the best update candidate for package perf-6.17.2-300.fc43.x86_64
- nothing provides libperl.so.5.40()(64bit) needed by perf-6.17.3-300.fc42.x86_64 from @commandline
Works for me, default test pass OK..
Work Station, Asus prime mobo - Ryzen5 5600g/iGPU, 400 Series Chipset, 32 GiB RAM. (UEFI) Secure boot, SSD's > RAID1 (ext4)
Doesn't work as expected with nvidia.
After installing the update and the installer restarts my pc, screen becomes enlarged and stuck on loading. This means something went wrong with nvidia drivers. Asus TUF F15.
Yeah can confirm, after restarting multiple times and trying to wait it out, it's still stuck, however previous kernel 17.2-300.fc43.x86_64 works seamlessly.
Nvidia driver Driver Version: 580.95.05
RTX 3050ti
add --kernels < kernel version > to the above command, see output of 'uname -r'
check logs in /var/log/akmods for clues. But this could be something else.
Alright, I did both dracut -f --regenerate-all, and also akmods --rebuild --force --kernels <thekernelversion>, and checked the logs, and it was successfully built. But still same issue nothing changed. Boot logs only seem to be for the 6.17.2 kernel boots, none about 6.17.3 not in journal, not even in /var

Sounds like you tried to install the F42 build for test week on an F43 package? perf-6.17.3-300.fc42.x86_64 has nothing to do with this update

This update has been submitted for stable by bodhi.
There is an ongoing freeze; this will be pushed to stable after the freeze is over.
This update has obsoleted kernel-6.17.2-300.fc43, and has inherited its bugs and notes.
Works great! LGTM! =)
Works.

probably a local system issue. Nvidia drivers do work here w/o issues! Boot 6.17.3 and try to rebuild kmods with 'akmods --rebuild --force'.
But how can I boot 6.17.3 if it doesn't boot and gets stuck on the loading screen?

AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics
Alright so basically, the kernel panics, and that is probably related to VMD and is a hardware-specific kernel regression.
Works great on a bunch of x86/aarch64 hardware
Works fine on a Framework 13 with AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series CPU.
Works great!

test suite performed
Works
AMD 5600G test was a PASS.
Works just fine. Ryzen 3700x, Rog Strix B550-F, Nvidia from rpmfusion.
This update has been obsoleted by kernel-6.17.3-301.fc43.
