XEmacs is a highly customizable open source text editor and application development system. It is protected under the GNU General Public License and related to other versions of Emacs, in particular GNU Emacs. Its emphasis is on modern graphical user interface support and an open software development model, similar to Linux.

Hi, xemacs works great on SLC5 and seems to be equivalent to xemacs I have on Fedora FC12. Good wiork!

It isn't quite equivalent, but close. Due to missing external libraries in EL-5, it uses libXaw3d instead of neXtaw, and doesn't support compface or Canna. If you aren't looking at X-Face headers or writing in Japanese, though, it should work out okay. :-)

Anonymous means that you didn't log in with a Fedora account before posting your comment. Those who do log in (like me) can see your email address. To the rest of the world, you are anonymous. My guess (and it is a guess) is that karma doesn't accrue for anonymous posters so that random bad guys can't mess things up.
