I miss the SGI Irix "versions changed" functionality on RHEL/Fedora. After any upgrade one should run "versions changed", and get prompted for what to do with .rpmnew/.rpmsave files.. I have a simple script we use for this, but it should be part of normal upgrade routines for all...
