Tested compr & decompr on 2.6.18-308.11.1.el5PAE, i686, 4 cores, perfect utilization. Tested compr & decompr on 2.6.18-308.11.1.el5 x86_64, 4 cores. Decompression had perfect utilization, compression very good utilization. (There were very short, temporary "idle bursts", with warm cache -- anyway they'd need deeper investigation to say anything conclusive.) Works for me. Thank you for the update, Lukáš!
