afaik perl(newgetopt.pl) should be offered by perl-Perl4-CoreLibs. Manualy installing that dep before didn't resolve the issue. Ignoring that one missing dep when installing rancid worked however and rancid seems to work. Is it just a naming-issue maybe? How could the package have been built when the dep does not exist/validate?
perl(newgetopt.pl) dependency was removed from perl-Perl4-CoreLibs and is now in the package perl-Getopt-Long. However, the perl-Getopt-Long rpm does not include the line "Provides: perl(newgetopt.pl)". Possible resolutions to this issue, as documented by #1406785 and #1481811, are:
1) Add "Provides: perl(newgetopt.pl)" to the perl-Getopt-Long rpm
2) Change the requirement in the RANCID rpm from the perl module "perl(newgetopt.pl)" to the package "perl-Getopt-Long"
If this package still requires perl(newgetopt.pl), as it appears to, then it will fail to install until the perl-Getopt-Long package is corrected.

This update has been pushed to testing.
I have installed rancid-3.2.3.el7.x86_64 referenced as the patch for this dependency failure, but I still get the same error.
This update has reached 14 days in testing and can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes

This issue is resolved in RHEL 7, so I think this update can be closed?
This update has been obsoleted by rancid-3.9-1.el7.
