Why is there a buildroot override for this?
The new cmake is not in the build root yet, so I now get build failures due to old cmake + new epel macros in koji:
DEBUG util.py:446: Installing:
DEBUG util.py:446: cmake x86_64 3.11.4-7.el8 build 8.1 M
DEBUG util.py:446: epel-rpm-macros noarch 8-21 build 21 k
And then the build fails because the cmake rules for this package do not allow in-source builds.
When is the new cmake expected in the build root?
Can you please coordinate the introduction of the new epel macro package with the new cmake in the build root.
Can the current build root override created by @carlwgeorge be removed until the new cmake is actually available?
This should be fixed. Please retest?
Works for me now that the RHEL 8.4 cmake is in the buildrooot.
Except for the removal of the Provides: cmake3 in the new cmake package in RHEL 8 it is working now.
That issue is not related to this epel-rpm-macros update.
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
