Tom, this jumps from 2.9.1 to 2.15. Ceph can be sensitive to gperftools changes, so I just wanted to verify that this has no performance implications.
I haven't tested this myself at all yet. It would be nice to get more thorough testing from the Ceph community before we ship a rebase like this to epel9.
I scratch-built that inside Red Hat for testing with IBM folks. With that single %ifarch change, Ceph no longer crashes with RHEL 9.4's glibc-2.34-100.el9_4.2.s390x. That would be a much safer change to push to epel9 for the moment.
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
